Biography

Degree (1999) and PhD (2008) in Economics from the University of the Basque Country and Postgraduate Certificate in European Spatial Planning from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK. He lectures in International Economics, Development Economics and Regional Economics.

His research covers different aspects related to urban and regional development in four strands: local economic development strategies; the influence of urban form on socio-spatial inequalities; urban revitalization strategies and their impact on different neighbourhoods; and the relationship among authorities, distributive policy and regional development.
